The model was already spotted at the Nurburgring by fans a few weeks ago, but recently the brand teased the lap time results in a not-so-revealing video that aimed to amp up anticipation for the reveal. Enthusiasts were answered with another record-breaking performance.

The lap time video followed the teaser a few days later, showcasing a stunning seven minutes and 16.04 second drive time that blitzed the Camaro ZL1’s record. Most Refined Brand- GMC

 Why GMC?

KBB’s executive editorial director Jack Nerad commented on the decision, stating the decision behind the blue book’s choice factored in GMC’s “Professional Grade” ideology.

“The extra attention to design and detail found across GMC’s lineup has clearly resonated with American consumers,” said Nerad.

Denali Trim

In the past, KBB has cited GMC’s premium Denali trim as part of their reasoning behind choosing the brand as the recipient of the award. Chevy Announces New Unlimited OnStar 4G LTE Plan

In June of 2014, Chevrolet launched its built-in OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi technology. Since then, customers have been rapidly increasing their usage of the service. And, the biggest jump was in the last six months of 2016. In fact, in that time, Chevy owners used nearly as much data as they had in the previous two years.

Because of this huge jump in popularity and usage, Chevrolet has announced a new unlimited OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi plan. There are also other plans for less frequent users, including data passes of 250MB per day for $5 and 20GB over 12 months for $150.

Alan Batey, president of GM North America and global head of Chevrolet, said, “With the most affordable unlimited 4G LTE data plan in the auto industry, the widest availability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and new connected services like OnStar AtYourService, our momentum can only grow.”

Top 3 Reasons to Buy a Compact Car

2017 Chevrolet Sonic - Reasons to Buy a Compact Car

While it might be hard to give up your truck for a compact car, there’s a lot of reasons people love driving the new Chevy Sonic. Here’s just a few.

Buying a compact car can be a fantastic choice, even for those with more than one passenger. While drivers who are used to large vehicles may find them cramped at first, there are many benefits to compact cars that make them well worth having a little less space. Here are a few reasons to buy a compact car from us here at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Affordability

Compact cars are some of the most affordable models on the market thanks to their size and weight. Generally starting at under $20,000 for a near-top trim, compact cars are affordable to first-time buyers, families on a budget, and drivers who don’t need a large vehicle.

Fuel Efficiency

Arguably the best reason to buy a compact car, most drivers seek high fuel economy and few models meet their needs like compact cars. The 2017 Chevrolet Sonic, for example, earns up to an EPA-estimated 34 hwy mpg.

Despite popular belief, compact cars often come with plenty of pep that makes them fun to drive. While they may not be sports cars, a compact car can offer a thrilling ride all the same since they are so light.

Handling

The standard small sedan offers precision handling, especially if there’s a sport-based model, like the Sonic RS. The lightweight design offers a quick response time and a turbocharged engine can provide high fuel economy while putting plenty of power to the road.

No matter why you’re thinking about getting a new compact car, stop by our Huntsville, TX dealership to take one for a test drive today!

Chevrolet Nine-Speed Transmission to Roll Out in 2017

New Chevrolet Transmission Coming in 2017 - Huntsville, TXFord and General Motors first announced that they would team up to develop two new transmission back in 2013. Now, as 2017 rolls around, we’re seeing the true fruits of their labor. General Motors unveiled plans to launch 10 new models with a new nine-speed transmission by the end of 2017.

Chevrolet will see four models debut with the new transmission throughout the year. The new nine-speed transmission offers a three percent increase in fuel economy over the older six-speed automatic transmission. Automakers are adding more gears to their transmissions across the board in order to comply with federal emissions regulations.

The Chevrolet nine-speed transmission first debuted in the 2017 Malibu Premier with a turbocharged engine. The 2017 Cruze diesel, with its 1.6-liter diesel engine, will come with the new transmission as well. The 2018 Equinox, equipped with a turbocharged engine as well, will round out the first three. Chevrolet has yet to reveal the fourth model.

The other transmission, a 10-speed automatic, made its official debut in the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 muscle car. That transmission is designed for performance in rear-wheel drive vehicles while the nine-speed transmission brings increased fuel economy in front-wheel drive models.

We here at Wiesner of Huntsville expect only the best from General Motors!
