This smart engine delivers 420 horsepower, 460 lb-ft of torque, and features stop/start technology to optimize efficiency. The 5.3-liter version of this engine is equally impressive, offering the same Dynamic Fuel Management technology alongside 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.
  • Alternatively, if you’re looking for the perfect balance of power, performance, efficiency, and technology, you should consider the all-new 2.7-liter Turbo engine. This engine gives you all the power you need on the worksite, offering greater torque and efficiency than the current Silverado LT and RST models.

Use Detergent on the Pedals
All too often, the pedals are overlooked when detailing a car’s interior. Take a little soap and water to the pedals and get the grit out of the grooves — you’ll be surprised by the difference this makes!

Wash the Head and Taillights
Nothing makes a car look dingier than smoggy lights, and we here at Wiesner of Huntsville believe there should be no such thing as a dingy-looking Cadillac. Clean your lights with warm water and soap before your next joyride. We’re including this in our spring cleaning tips, but you should actually clean your lights at least every two months to make sure you’re as visible as possible while on the road.

Get Your Junk Out of the Trunk
Winter has a way of turning human beings into packrats, even here in warm Texas. Don’t burden your beloved Cadillac any longer — get all those odds-and-ends out of the trunk and back where they belong. Now that your load is lightened, this might even save you money at the pump in the long run.

Next-Generation Silverado Unveiled at Centennial Truck Celebration

Next-Generation Silverado

For over 100 years now, truck buyers have fallen in love with the Chevrolet brand. At a recent event to celebrate the first 100 years of Chevrolet trucks, the next-generation Silverado made its big debut. Many of those attending are part of the new Chevy Truck Legends program.

Alan Batey, president of GM North America, and global head of Chevrolet, said, “For the Chevy Truck Centennial, we wanted to recognize the customers who have made Chevrolet part of their lives, and have them help kick off the next 100 years of Chevy Trucks.”

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has been redesigned from the ground up to deliver superior performance, durability, capabilities, and strength. The high-strength-steel bed incorporates a new alloy to make lighter, stronger, and more functional. Other new, mixed materials contribute to significant weight reduction in the new Silverado.

Another exciting change for the next-generation Silverado is an expanded range of engines, models, and technology to help make it an even better fit for even more customers.

One of the eight new models is called the Silverado LT Trailboss. It uses the off-road equipment found on the Z71 package and adds in a two-inch suspension lift. The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado will make its official public debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, 100 years after Chevrolet trucks first went on sale.
