Returning 2021 Trailblazer Boasts Style and Safety

2021-Chevy-Trailblazer-Huntsville-TX

Among Chevrolet’s many strengths is its foothold in one of the automotive industry’s fastest-growing segments: small SUVs and crossovers. Adding to that lineup is the all-new 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, expected to arrive at Wiesner of Huntsville in early 2020.

Since it was last part of the Chevy lineup in 2009, the Trailblazer underwent some downsizing in order to complement the changing times. The returning 2021 Trailblazer is a smaller and more stylish SUV, with some touches that make it a top-notch choice in the crossover segment.

As Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet passenger car and crossover marketing, put it, “The Trailblazer’s great design enables more personalization.” Take, for example, the available RS trim. It flaunts an eye-catching two-tone roof that lets you choose your preferred color combination.

Also new to the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is a host of standard active safety features, including Front Pedestrian Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. These tools ensure that drivers of the 2021 Trailblazer can travel confidently, safely, and with the peace of mind. The all-new Trailblazer also offers Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Park Assist, and a High Definition Rear Vision Camera as options.

When the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer is available, you’ll find it here at Wiesner of Huntsville.

A History of General Motors

A History of General Motors | Huntsville, TX

General Motors is an American company rich with tradition, history, and legacy. They’re a company whose products we’re proud to provide to our customers and friends here at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Here’s a little history of General Motors for the curious:

In 1908, General Motors was formed in Detroit, Michigan. It started its life as the holding company of William C. “Billy” Durant, the chieftain of Buick Motors. At this time, America was home to less than 8,000 automobiles. The car was still a modern marvel, and no one could anticipate the revolutionary effects it would have across the globe. General Motors would go on to acquire over 20 automakers, including Chevrolet and Pontiac.

During World War II, General Motors sent over 12 billion dollars’ worth of aide in supplies and materials, like airplanes and tanks, to the Allied Forces. When the war ended, GM went back to innovating for civilian vehicles, developing industry-changing concepts like front-wheel suspension and the unibody construction.

This tendency to innovate continued over the decades. General Motors led the charge in taking the lead out of gasoline, producing cars that operated on low-lead or unleaded gas in 1971. They were a critical player in the development of guidance and navigation systems for the Apollo 11 mission, and manufactured the Lunar Roving Vehicle (the first-ever vehicle to operate on the Moon) for Apollo 15.

Today, GM remains a major innovator and game-changer in the global automotive industry. To see what GM rolls off the assembly line for the 2019 model year, check out the inventory at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Chevrolet Rated as Top Automotive Brand for Millennials

Chevrolet Rated As Top Automotive Brand | Huntsville, TX

Millennials are quickly becoming the target audience in various industries, including the automotive market. Thanks to its dedication to designing aerodynamic, efficient, and tech-savvy vehicles, Chevrolet was recognized as the top automotive brand for millennials by Autolist.

Most analysts agree that the millennial generation was born between 1981 and 1996. That puts most millennials between the ages of 23 and 38. To get accurate results, Autolist examined the preferences of 1,750 shoppers younger than 36 years old.

Chevrolet took the first place spot, performing better than competitors such as Ford, Toyota, Honda, and BMW. Brands like Fiat and Volvo landed at the bottom of the list of automotive brands millennials preferred.

Not only is Chevrolet the top automotive brand among millennials, but the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 landed as the most popular full-size truck for millennials, too. The brand was also most likely to be considered when millennials look for a new vehicle. Chevrolet was also the number one response for which brand millennial drivers own right now.

Chase Disher, Autolist’s chief analyst, cited Chevrolet’s “Real People, Not Actors” ad campaign and early adoption of top technologies as reasons for the brand’s success with millennials.  Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a built-in Wi-Fi® hotspot are just a few systems that appeal to millennial tastes.

Are You Caught up on Car Maintenance Milestones?

Car Maintenance Milestones | Wiesner of Huntsville | Huntsville, TX

When it comes to regular vehicle maintenance, owners overlook many crucial yet overlooked steps. Staying on top of standard service is a great way to save time and money in the long run by avoiding major repairs, but this can be hard if you don’t know what to keep an eye out for.

If you are second-guessing how you take care of your vehicle, you’re in luck: your friendly neighborhood auto nerds at Wiesner of Huntsville are here to help.

Here are the top four regular maintenance steps you should NEVER overlook:

Oil Change

Everybody’s heard of oil changes, so why do so many car owners put off getting them done? An oil change should never be delayed; driving on low or dirty oil could potentially do irreparable damage to your engine. The frequency with which you should change your oil depends on make, model, and model year; look to your owner’s manual for more information.

Battery Service or Replacement

Most automotive batteries last about six years; when was the last time you replaced yours? Wiesner of Huntsville can test the life and strength of your battery today and make suggestions for battery upkeep or replacement.

Tire Maintenance

Tires require a lot of TLC. They should be rotated regularly (a service that can be provided at Wiesner of Huntsville during your next oil change) and monitored for proper tread depth and pressure. An easy way to check your tire for proper depth is by sticking a penny headfirst into the tread; if you can see the top of Honest Abe’s head, your tires may be too worn for the road. Appointments are available today for tire review and replacement at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Fluid Service

Did you know there are more fluids in your vehicle besides oil and gas? Other fluids that must be monitored and replaced include steering fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid, and windshield wash. If you’re noticing a decrease in your vehicle’s performance, it may be due to low or leaking fluids. Schedule an appointment with Wiesner of Huntsville’s service department to diagnose and repair the problem soon – before it’s too late!

If you have any questions or concerns about your car’s service history, contact our service department.

Are You Guilty of These Common Car Maintenance Mistakes?

Common Car Maintenance Mistakes | Wiesner of Huntsville | Huntsville, TX

With just a little bit of expertise, staying on top of a basic car maintenance routine is easy, inexpensive, and the best way to keep your vehicle in top shape. Still, many drivers fail to perform the most crucial parts of vehicle upkeep. Are you guilty of any of these common car maintenance mistakes that could be costing you, and your vehicle, more than you know?

Forgetting about tires

Your tires are the only thing between your vehicle and the road, so it is hard to over-stress their importance. You should regularly monitor tire pressure, alignment, and tread; it is inexpensive and easy to do so and a great way to stay safe on the road and keep your car healthy for years to come.

Neglecting oil changes

When nothing is obviously wrong with your vehicle, it can be tempting to skip a scheduled oil change, but you should never do so. In fact, when you stay on top of oil changes you shouldn’t notice anything wrong with the way your car is running.

Driving with old wipers

Finally, don’t forget that visibility is extremely important when driving in all conditions. While this is common knowledge, many drivers stick with old, damaged wiper blades when they should be replaced.

If your car needs a bit of help to get up to speed on all its maintenance needs, contact us at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Cadillac Racing Origins Spotlight

Cadillac Racing Origins

Many consumers buy Cadillac vehicles for their luxurious design, innovative features, and sophisticated performances. What some people don’t know is that Cadillac has a rich history on the racetrack.

Racing fell into Cadillac’s lap in a sudden twist of events. The Cadillac racing origins began with an exciting new engine ― a high-compression, overhead-valve V8. This engine was meant for its production cars, yet its performance specs were so impressive that racing experts saw its potential. As a result, NASCAR race teams sought out Cadillac vehicles for use on the track.

Cadillac took home trophies in races like the 1949 Milwaukee 100 Stock Car Race and the 1952 NASCAR Championship. The brand created unique race cars that earned equally distinctive nicknames like “Le Monstre,” which was a Cadillac Series 61 racer designed with a futuristic aerodynamic body for the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

In more recent years, Cadillac has debuted race cars like the Cadillac CTS-V.R for the SCCA World Challenge GT Championship in 2004, and it took home 10 overall wins. Cadillac continues to commit itself to building innovative, winning race vehicles, including the first-ever Cadillac ATS-V.R with FIA GT3 specs and the Cadillac DPi-V.R prototype racer ― impressive productions that prove more racing is on the horizon for this luxury brand.

While we strongly advocate for driving the speed limit and obeying the laws of the road here in Texas, we invite you to stop in for a test drive and experience the exhilarating power of a new Cadillac at Wiesner of Huntsville.
