Cadillac vehicles are pretty well-known for their sophistication, class, luxury, and overall comfort and functionality. As a leader in the luxury automotive industry, Cadillac is undoubtedly a well-deserved (and frequent) winner of auto awards. However, we were still pretty tickled to learn that the new 2014 Cadillac CTS was named one of Edmunds.com’s Top Rated Vehicles of 2014, while the 2014 Cadillac Escalade was named one of their Most Popular Premium Luxury SUVs of 2014.
“With a contemporary new look, a revised interior, and more powerful and fuel-efficient engines, the redesigned 2014 Cadillac CTS is a serious contender in the midsize luxury sedan class,” says Scott Oldham, Editor-in-Chief at Edmunds.com. It’s true. With three powertrain options all delivering impeccable horsepower and fuel efficiency, you can’t go wrong with the award-winning CTS.
This trophy will go right up on the shelf with many other CTS awards, including last year’s Motor Trend Car of the Year award and this year’s 2014 All-Star award from Automobile Magazine.

J.D. Power and Associates has released its 2014 U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) Study and Buick sits in the top spot among 19 mass market brands. The CSI polled owners and lessees of vehicle one to five years old and asked them how they would rate service received at a dealership.
Buick scored 835 points out of a possible 1,000—37 points ahead of the mass market brand average. The survey focused on five service areas: service quality, service initiation, service advisor, service facility, and vehicle pick-up.
“Our dealers have an excellent focus on putting our customers first,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC, in a press release. “Not only have Buick dealers committed to or completed overhauling their facilities, but they’ve shown that continuing a positive customer experience is a top priority.”
Here at Wiesner of Huntsville, we promise to give you the best customer service possible not only in our service department, but across our dealership.
When it comes to Chevrolet and GMC, most of us down here in Texas first think of the Silverado or the Sierra (we LOVE our trucks!). However, today, we want to stop and honor two other award-winning GM vehicles for their outstanding safety features—the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Equinox and the 2014 GMC Terrain. Both SUVs earned 2014 Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the only midsize SUVs of nine tested to earn Good ratings in the small overlap front crash test. Impressive, huh?
The only two midsize SUVs to land Top Safety Pick+ awards being GM models speaks highly of their safety abilities and features. Both the Equinox and Terrain achieved Good ratings (the highest IIHS rating possible) in all five crash tests, including the front crash test. Each SUV features forward collision alert technology, six standard airbags, and a rear vision camera. You’ll have that peace-of-mind driving your family from destination to destination in the Chevy Equinox or GMC Terrain.
Be sure to check out or test drive one (or both) of these new, award-winning SUVs today at Wiesner of Huntsville! You won’t be disappointed.
One of the most desired Buick models is the Buick GNX from 1987 and with only 547 made, they are hard to find, especially in good condition. The GNX had a stellar design with performance to match. It boasted a turbocharged V6 under the hood and put out 276 horsepower—this made it faster than most cars, including the Corvette.
That’s why this recent addition to eBay is so great: a mint condition 1987 Buick GNX with only 197 miles. It’s so new, in fact, it still has the window stickers from the dealership along crayon markings on the tires, paper suspension tags, and the bar code sticker on the catalytic converter that never got to burn off. And, it bears serial number 8.
It has been resting all this time in a private climate-controlled garage until the recent passing of its owner. Now, it’s up for sale to whoever has the cash to buy it. And, it will definitely cost a pretty penny. Just in January, another GNX with only 11 miles sold for $106,000 at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona.
Currently, on eBay, the Car #8 is listed with a price of $124,900. The auction ends April 20.
The GNX is definitely a remarkable piece of Buick history. Perhaps we’ll see another GNX in the future since GM renewed the trademark back in 2012.
