As if the Chevrolet Bolt will need any help populating the streets of this great nation, Chevy and Lyft have partnered together to make sure that the Bolt gets all of the use it deserves.
Admittedly, Chevy has reason to support Lyft. After all, the automaker recently made a $500 million investment in the ride-sharing service. Chevy announced its contribution only a day before they revealed the all-new Chevrolet Bolt.
According to Forbes, Lyft is establishing rental centers in various urban areas around the country. Chevy plans to make the Bolt available for Lyft drivers as short-rentals at these nationwide rental centers. It’s a great robust model for transportation. Drivers rent the cars, earn money giving folks rides and then return the cars.
Needless to say, the Chevrolet Bolt should prove very popular with Lyft drivers. Why is that? Drivers will be able to travel over 200 miles on a single charge.
Chevy and Lyft have also working together to eventually offer driverless cars to customers.
