Historical Huntsville attractions include everything from memorial museums and old, preserved architecture to a historic cemetery that hosts ghost tours. Huntsville Cultural District: This is the place to go when you’re looking for historic attractions, no matter what it is. The homes of many old, wealthy families are here, along with several art centers and galleries showcasing Huntsville’s heritage.

Gibbs-Powell House Museum: Also referred to as the Walker County Historical Museum, this house was formerly owned by businessman Thomas Gibbs and has grown into a recognized historical landmark of Texas. It also features many donated historical artifacts.

Huntsville Ghost Tours: Starting at 9 p.m. in the summer and 7 p.m. in the winter, ghost tours occur every Thursday and Friday and begin at historic Oakwood Cemetery. It’s just $5 per child and $12 per adult.
