Chevy Announces New Unlimited OnStar 4G LTE Plan

In June of 2014, Chevrolet launched its built-in OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi technology. Since then, customers have been rapidly increasing their usage of the service. And, the biggest jump was in the last six months of 2016. In fact, in that time, Chevy owners used nearly as much data as they had in the previous two years.

Because of this huge jump in popularity and usage, Chevrolet has announced a new unlimited OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi plan. This plan will only cost $20 per month, making it an affordable choice for many families. There are also other plans for less frequent users, including data passes of 250MB per day for $5 and 20GB over 12 months for $150.

Alan Batey, president of GM North America and global head of Chevrolet, said, “With the most affordable unlimited 4G LTE data plan in the auto industry, the widest availability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and new connected services like OnStar AtYourService, our momentum can only grow.”

If you’ve been searching for a better way to stay connected while on the go, come check out the Chevrolet lineup today at Wiesner of Huntsville. OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi is available across the Chevy lineup, from the compact Sonic to the full-size Silverado 2500HD.

Chevy Express Vans Get “Fleeter” of Foot with the 2015 City Express

The Chevrolet Express, the bowtie’s full-size fleet vehicle van, is getting a downsizing—by which we mean an upgrade—for the 2015 model year. The brand recently released the 2015 City Express, a new model in the Express lineup that takes advantage of a smaller size and an improved powertrain to deliver better fuel economy to fleet operators and business owners.

The City Express will make urban travel and delivery much more efficient, thanks to its 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine, which is neatly paired with both a continuously variable timing belt and transmission.

“As the newest member of the Chevrolet Express family of vans, the 2015 City Express offers a smaller, more efficient choice for businesses that don’t need the cargo volume or other capabilities of a full-size van,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president, GM Fleet and Commercial. “It is an easy-to-maneuver van that makes the most of its compact dimensions with clever features, allowing business owners to maximize its space – and their resources – with a vehicle sized for their needs.”

Just because it’s a fleet vehicle doesn’t mean it’s automatically no fun to drive, though. The City Express displays zippy performance on the roads, and is stacked with convenient features, especially with the Technology package on LT models of the van.

While the City Express might not meet your personal driving needs, it’s still exciting to see Chevrolet prioritizing efficiency and customer service to even the furthest corners of their inventory. We expect to continue to see the fruits of innovation like that here at Wiesner of Huntsville for a long time to come.
