Millennials are quickly becoming the target audience in various industries, including the automotive market. Thanks to its dedication to designing aerodynamic, efficient, and tech-savvy vehicles, Chevrolet was recognized as the top automotive brand for millennials by Autolist.
Most analysts agree that the millennial generation was born between 1981 and 1996. That puts most millennials between the ages of 23 and 38. To get accurate results, Autolist examined the preferences of 1,750 shoppers younger than 36 years old.
Chevrolet took the first place spot, performing better than competitors such as Ford, Toyota, Honda, and BMW. Brands like Fiat and Volvo landed at the bottom of the list of automotive brands millennials preferred.
Not only is Chevrolet the top automotive brand among millennials, but the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 landed as the most popular full-size truck for millennials, too. The brand was also most likely to be considered when millennials look for a new vehicle. Chevrolet was also the number one response for which brand millennial drivers own right now.
Chase Disher, Autolist’s chief analyst, cited Chevrolet’s “Real People, Not Actors” ad campaign and early adoption of top technologies as reasons for the brand’s success with millennials. Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and a built-in Wi-Fi® hotspot are just a few systems that appeal to millennial tastes.
