The entire sedan segment has been suffering as drivers have opted for larger vehicles like the Buick Enclave and Envision. Yet, the 2019 Buick LaCrosse looks to turn things around with a set of updates bound to impress drivers of all ages. A long-time competitor in the full-size premium sedan segment, the upcoming Buick LaCrosse will also deliver more options.
The Buick LaCrosse will see several color changes, starting with the discontinuation of the Dark Slate Metallica and Black Cherry Metallic paint colors. Carrageen Metallic and Dark Shadow Metallic will fill the gaps and bring a fresh look to the premium sedan.
Perhaps most exciting is the addition of a new Sport Touring (1SH) trim level. That model will roll out on a new set of 19-inch aluminum wheels with Technical Gray gloss finish. A new blacked-out grille and body-color surround creates a sport-inspired look that’s sure to stun.

The 2019 Buick LaCrosse will be built at the GM Detroit Hamtramck factory in Michigan. To learn more about this stunning sedan, visit Wiesner of Huntsville.
At Wiesner of Huntsville, we’ve got options. We’re here to offer you the best of Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. But when it comes to these manufacturers, which are the best luxury models of each? The answer is here, and you can call us to set up a test drive in any of these today.
2017 Chevrolet Impala
This sedan combines a sleek exterior with intelligent design on the inside and under the hood. A roomy cabin is home to a long list of advanced technology features. You and your passengers will stay entertained with the Chevrolet Impala’s available smartphone integration that uses Chevy MyLink, available Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to keep you connected. Two engine options are available, and the 2017 Chevrolet Impala reaches a maximum 305 horsepower.
2017 Buick Verano
Like the Impala, the luxurious Buick Verano is a five-seat sedan that allows you and your family or friends to travel in class. The interior is made of the finest materials and can be taken to the next level with available upgrades like leather seats.
2017 Yukon Denali
Where full-size SUVs are concerned, the Yukon Denali may be the most luxurious on the market. Its three rows of first-class seating are graced with elegant extras like heated second row seats, wood inlays and French Seam stitching. Yet, the 2017 Yukon Denali can still tow a maximum of 8,400 pounds meaning this SUV offers the best of both worlds.
2016 Cadillac SRX
The 2016 Cadillac SRX is our choice for a luxury crossover, offering exceptional quality in handling and comfort. Though discontinued as of this year, the SRX is still a great way to go if you want a crossover that can keep you comfortable and entertained with up-to-date technology like available Wi-Fi and modern safety features.
As the weather heats up, the wear and tear on your car can get worse. Here are a few ways you can protect your car in hot weather:
- Use a windshield sun shade – These protect your interior from baking in the heat and keeps your car cooler when you get back inside after a hot day.
- Use protective sprays – There are products available that can provide another protective layer, like vinyl or leather protectants.
- Consider tinted windows – You’ll need to review your state’s regulations on the amount you can tint a window, but these can keep your upholstery from cracking.
- Park in the shade – This is obvious, but when you can, park in the shade. Look for streets where the shade created by buildings will pass over your car during the hottest part of the day.
- Check the car’s battery – When it gets hot, excessive fluid evaporation reduces the life of the battery. Make sure it’s functioning in top shape.
- Travel when it’s cooler – If you can, try to drive during the cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening. It will be easier on you, your passengers, and your car.
The 2015 Buick LaCrosse brings plenty of elegance and luxury design features to a high-performance sedan segment. Of course, that’s nothing new for the LaCrosse, which has long been the brand’s flagship sedan, bringing comfort, luxury, and convenience to customers all over the United States. The 2015 model comes with plenty of powertrain, performance, and technology options to make it a great vehicle for business people and families alike.
The LaCrosse comes in two different engine options, from the 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine to the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine. The 3.6-liter engine comes as either a front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive option, while the 2.4-liter engine is only available with front-wheel-drive. The smaller engine, however, also gets incredible fuel economy, especially for a luxury segment vehicle.
The Buick LaCrosse has a beautiful, curvy exterior design, comes with tons of safety technology as well. There are two levels of safety tech packages, Driver Confidence 1 and Driver Confidence 2, which come with features like the heads-up display, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warnings, swiveling HID headlamps, and much more. The Driver Confidence 2 package also features the safety-alert seat, adaptive cruise control, and collision-mitigation braking.

In addition to making the best crossovers and sedans money can buy, Buick is also pretty good at making the best automotive marketing campaigns, which is an art unto itself.
While Buick was working hard to communicate the fact that Buicks are for everyone (rather than an aged demographic), they came up with the “That’s Not A Buick” campaign. It’s been a fun and engaging way to show the world that Buick is evolving as a brand. However, push that point too hard and people might start thinking that Buick has abandoned tradition, which isn’t what true evolution means.
The solution for Buick has been a humorous presentation, like the latest campaign featuring Alec Baldwin. GM Authority quotes a Buick spokesperson saying, “We think Alec is the perfect match for this campaign.” The star of 30 Rock and Glengarry Glen Ross patiently explains to the camera what is and what isn’t a Buick. For instance, a sponge? That’s not a Buick. A beautiful Buick Regal? Yes, that is indeed a Buick.
What do you think of the new campaigns? We here at Wiesner of Huntsville think they’re pretty great!
Three different Buick vehicles recently earned 5-Year Cost to Own awards from KBB.com. The awards mean that these vehicles will cost their owners the least amount of money over the first five years of their vehicle’s lives, and the Buick Enclave, Encore, and Verano all won their segments as 2015 models. The Enclave, specifically, won as the best Luxury Full-Size SUV/Crossover in its segment.
Customers must have been taking notice of the Buick brand’s excellence as well, though, since the Enclave just posted its second straight year of record sales. In 2014, they sold over 63,000 Enclave units, good for a 39 percent increase over 2013. “Few vehicles in any segment of the industry enjoy such a legacy of increasing popularly,” said Buick vice president Duncan Aldred. “In fact, many customers are enjoying their second or third Enclave. The Enclave has also been a cornerstone of Buick’s product renaissance.”
The Buick Enclave, as a 2015 model, starts at just over $39,000, gets up to 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, and comes in five different model trims as well. To learn more about the Enclave, what makes it the best vehicle in the full-size SUV segment, and why so many customers love it, come see us here at Wiesner of Huntsville today.
Small SUVs seem to be all the rage right now. Chevrolet will soon be introducing the 2015 Chevy Trax to the automotive world, and even trucks are downsizing once again with the new 2015 GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado. Buick has certainly been following this trend with the Encore, perhaps before the others even caught on, and there’s definitely no stopping its success! For the second year in a row, the new 2014 Buick Encore has achieved the highest rank in the small SUV segment in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality study.
| 2014 Buick Encore Features |
The Encore has been one of Buick’s top sellers since its introduction in 2013, going along with their reputation as the highest-ranked brand for customer satisfaction with dealership service in the J.D. Power U.S. Customer Service Index study (see our previous blog post all about it).
The Initial Quality study is based on reviews and responses of more than 86,000 buyers and lessees of the 2014 Buick Encore, all seemingly satisfied with their small SUV. Our hats are off to you, Encore!
Two of the top characteristics many Buick customers look for in a car are safety and technology. Because of this, every 2015 Buick model will come standard with both, in the form of a rearview camera.
“Rear backup cameras have become like power windows and air conditioning,” said Karl Brauer, senior analyst for Kelley Blue Book. “While they’re not standard on every car, yet, it’s rare to operate a new vehicle without them. The increased confidence these rearview cameras provide make them a must-have features.”
These cameras also greatly reduce the risk of backing crashes, according to a study conducted by the University of Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute. Buick is also ensuring all 2015 Buick owners are safe in other ways as well: the majority of the lineup, including the Verano, LaCrosse, Enclave, Encore, and Regal, have received a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
If you’re wondering when the 2015 Buick models will arrive on dealer lots, contact Wiesner of Huntsville for the answer!
J.D. Power and Associates has released its 2014 U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) Study and Buick sits in the top spot among 19 mass market brands. The CSI polled owners and lessees of vehicle one to five years old and asked them how they would rate service received at a dealership.
Buick scored 835 points out of a possible 1,000—37 points ahead of the mass market brand average. The survey focused on five service areas: service quality, service initiation, service advisor, service facility, and vehicle pick-up.
“Our dealers have an excellent focus on putting our customers first,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC, in a press release. “Not only have Buick dealers committed to or completed overhauling their facilities, but they’ve shown that continuing a positive customer experience is a top priority.”
Here at Wiesner of Huntsville, we promise to give you the best customer service possible not only in our service department, but across our dealership.
One of the most desired Buick models is the Buick GNX from 1987 and with only 547 made, they are hard to find, especially in good condition. The GNX had a stellar design with performance to match. It boasted a turbocharged V6 under the hood and put out 276 horsepower—this made it faster than most cars, including the Corvette.
That’s why this recent addition to eBay is so great: a mint condition 1987 Buick GNX with only 197 miles. It’s so new, in fact, it still has the window stickers from the dealership along crayon markings on the tires, paper suspension tags, and the bar code sticker on the catalytic converter that never got to burn off. And, it bears serial number 8.
It has been resting all this time in a private climate-controlled garage until the recent passing of its owner. Now, it’s up for sale to whoever has the cash to buy it. And, it will definitely cost a pretty penny. Just in January, another GNX with only 11 miles sold for $106,000 at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Arizona.
Currently, on eBay, the Car #8 is listed with a price of $124,900. The auction ends April 20.
The GNX is definitely a remarkable piece of Buick history. Perhaps we’ll see another GNX in the future since GM renewed the trademark back in 2012.
