Cleaning a Cadillac isn’t like cleaning any old car. It deserves — rather, it requires — a whole lot of TLC. Take the time to make your Cadillac shine this season with these easy spring cleaning tips.
Use Detergent on the Pedals
All too often, the pedals are overlooked when detailing a car’s interior. Take a little soap and water to the pedals and get the grit out of the grooves — you’ll be surprised by the difference this makes!
Wash the Head and Taillights
Nothing makes a car look dingier than smoggy lights, and we here at Wiesner of Huntsville believe there should be no such thing as a dingy-looking Cadillac. Clean your lights with warm water and soap before your next joyride. We’re including this in our spring cleaning tips, but you should actually clean your lights at least every two months to make sure you’re as visible as possible while on the road.
Get Your Junk Out of the Trunk
Winter has a way of turning human beings into packrats, even here in warm Texas. Don’t burden your beloved Cadillac any longer — get all those odds-and-ends out of the trunk and back where they belong. Now that your load is lightened, this might even save you money at the pump in the long run.
Give these spring cleaning tips a try, and when the heads start turning as you drive down the street on a sunny afternoon, you’ll thank us!
At Wiesner of Huntsville, we’ve got options. We’re here to offer you the best of Chevy, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. But when it comes to these manufacturers, which are the best luxury models of each? The answer is here, and you can call us to set up a test drive in any of these today.
2017 Chevrolet Impala
This sedan combines a sleek exterior with intelligent design on the inside and under the hood. A roomy cabin is home to a long list of advanced technology features. You and your passengers will stay entertained with the Chevrolet Impala’s available smartphone integration that uses Chevy MyLink, available Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility to keep you connected. Two engine options are available, and the 2017 Chevrolet Impala reaches a maximum 305 horsepower.
2017 Buick Verano
Like the Impala, the luxurious Buick Verano is a five-seat sedan that allows you and your family or friends to travel in class. The interior is made of the finest materials and can be taken to the next level with available upgrades like leather seats.
2017 Yukon Denali
Where full-size SUVs are concerned, the Yukon Denali may be the most luxurious on the market. Its three rows of first-class seating are graced with elegant extras like heated second row seats, wood inlays and French Seam stitching. Yet, the 2017 Yukon Denali can still tow a maximum of 8,400 pounds meaning this SUV offers the best of both worlds.
2016 Cadillac SRX
The 2016 Cadillac SRX is our choice for a luxury crossover, offering exceptional quality in handling and comfort. Though discontinued as of this year, the SRX is still a great way to go if you want a crossover that can keep you comfortable and entertained with up-to-date technology like available Wi-Fi and modern safety features.
You’ve probably heard Cadillac’s slogan of “Dare Greatly” over the past couple years. The phrase perfectly embodies the automaker’s philosophy on life, driving, and creating vehicles. After all, what of value will you assign to a product without taking a great risk?
What does “Daring Pursuits” mean to me?
To show how that philosophy is seen in different walks of life, Cadillac is applying the “Dare Greatly” adage to a new marketing campaign called “Daring Pursuits.” Showcasing the experiences and efforts of “passionate creators,” Cadillac’s latest wave of digital ads will feature a visual artist, a furniture designer, and a balloon artist.
“ Daring Pursuits represents the unpredictable nature and process of creativity, which has been a central theme of the ‘Dare Greatly’ brand platform since it launched in 2015,” said Ray Warren, Cadillac’s global manager of social media and digital advertising. “This latest extension, ‘Daring Pursuits,’ appeals to audiences who are entrepreneurial and unwilling to settle.”
In the process of the “Daring Pursuits” advertisements, viewers will learn about the exciting new 2017 Cadillac XT5. Customers can buy this new model at Wiesner of Huntsville. This is in addition to our other new and used Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC inventory. All new 2017 are to be available once they are release and ready to drive!
As the weather heats up, the wear and tear on your car can get worse. Here are a few ways you can protect your car in hot weather:
- Use a windshield sun shade – These protect your interior from baking in the heat and keeps your car cooler when you get back inside after a hot day.
- Use protective sprays – There are products available that can provide another protective layer, like vinyl or leather protectants.
- Consider tinted windows – You’ll need to review your state’s regulations on the amount you can tint a window, but these can keep your upholstery from cracking.
- Park in the shade – This is obvious, but when you can, park in the shade. Look for streets where the shade created by buildings will pass over your car during the hottest part of the day.
- Check the car’s battery – When it gets hot, excessive fluid evaporation reduces the life of the battery. Make sure it’s functioning in top shape.
- Travel when it’s cooler – If you can, try to drive during the cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening. It will be easier on you, your passengers, and your car.
Part of the formula that is sure to propel the Cadillac CT6 to automotive stardom seems like a contradiction. The new CT6 will be large enough to easily compete with the larger luxury sedans from the across the pond. Yet, the new Cadillac will also be lighter than is typical for the class.
Cadillac is able to pull off this particular magic trick by using aluminum in the underbody design. The new CT6 features aluminum body panels as well as aluminum die-castings. The lighter weight translates to better fuel economy and better response and handling.
Beyond the use of aluminum, there are plenty more innovative feature on the Cadillac CT6. A high-definition camera monitor comes standard, strategically placed in the rearview mirror. There’s also a Bose premium sound system, tuned specially for the cabin of the CT6.
Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen summed up nicely what is sure to make the new Cadillac CT6 great. “The CT6 is an entirely new approach to prestige luxury, adding driving dynamics and technology while reducing the bulk of traditional large sedans.”
We can’t wait for the new CT6 to arrive here at Wiesner of Huntsville!
Cadillac is redefining the automotive industry with the new CT6 design. Scheduled to receive some major overhauls, in terms of performance, Cadillac is pulling out all the stops. Perhaps one of the most interesting new features on the new model will be the next-generation hydra-matic transmission design. Cadillac CT6 performance is promising to blow you away.
Although you might not think transmissions are that interesting, wait until you hear about what Cadillac has in mind for the CT6. According to Cadillac, the recently-patented Hydra-Matic 8L45 paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission is a benchmark in automotive engineering, offering drivers seamless gear-shifts, reduced fuel consumption, a stop/start system, and added boost in performance.
“The shift performance of the new 8L45 paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission complements the CT6’s new threshold for efficient luxury to help take it to an even higher level,” said Bill Goodrich, assistant chief engineer for new transmissions. “The shifts are quick and nearly imperceptible, establishing a benchmark for Cadillac.”
Although Cadillac weren’t that creative with the name (8L45), this design enables 33 lbs in weight reduction, optimal RPM range, and friction-reducing design. The hydraulic design looks promising for high-octane enthusiasts, especially when paired with a 3.6-liter V6. We can’t wait to see the new CT6 in action!
While you were likely busy preparing for the holidays and traveling and family dinners, Cadillac snuck in the premiere of the all-new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. The premium sports sedan hits the road with everything necessary for a run on the track. And since it is Cadillac’s most powerful model to date, we thought the news of its introduction bears repeating just in case you missed it in the midst of your busy schedule.
“Comprehensive updates make the new CTS-V essentially two cars in one: a luxury sedan with sophisticated road manners and a track-capable sports car straight from the factory,” the automaker stated in a press release.
The CTS-V comes with a new supercharged 6.2-liter V8 packing a whopping 640 horsepower and 630 lb.-ft. of torque.
The luxury sports sedan does not take the word “sports” lightly. It races up to 200 miles per hour, provides the race-ready Brembo braking system, and offers RECARO high-performance seating.
Nor does the sedan slack on the luxury side. Advanced technology takes center stage within the CTS-V’s luxurious cabin, outfitted with leather and sueded microfiber inserts. Wireless charging, navigation with Bose Surround Sound, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot are just a few of the amenities offered.
For more information on the third-generation CTS-V, contact us here at Wiesner of Huntsville. The all-new meeting of luxury and sporty performance is scheduled to arrive late this summer.
Cadillac has introduced the new 2016 CTS-V, the most powerful vehicle the automaker has ever built in its 112-year history.
The CTS-V will launch with 640 horsepower, 630 lb-ft of torque, a top speed of 200 mph, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.7 seconds. It will be the third generation of the V-series luxury sports sedan and, we think, will continue to improve upon a legacy of great cars here at Wiesner of Huntsville.

Some of the updates include a new 6.2-liter V8 engine paired with Cadillac’s paddle-shift automatic transmission, launch control, and Performance Algorithm Shifting. The chassis, suspension, and powertrain have all been tuned for enhanced capability, performance, and driver control, such as a standard carbon fiber spoiler and diffuser and the implementation of third-gen Magnetic Ride Control.
“V-Series represents the very best of the Cadillac brand—the pinnacle of our design and technical capabilities,” said Johan de Nysschen, Cadillac president. “The new CTS-V is the most compelling example of Cadillac’s product substance and brand trajectory. The new CTS-V soars into the stratosphere of the most exhilarating luxury cars.”
Cadillac has always been a step above in luxury, and this latest development is no different. Cadillac massage chairs have been introduced, and each one has 22 glorious settings.
Cadillac has always had supple leather seats that you just want to melt into, but this takes the cake. And hey, if you’re starting to doze off during your drive, just hit the anti-fatigue option and it will wake you right back up.
Can you think of a better way to drive home from a stressful day at work than with what is essentially your own personal masseuse in your car? The option is available for both the driver and passenger seats. It also stores your settings to be able to quite simply press a button and have the chair target all the problem areas you have set it to recognize.
Wiesner of Huntsville is proud to offer a brand that is on the forefront of luxury vehicles and so focused on the driving experience of our customers.
How many times have you been distracted while driving trying to plug your phone in to charge? You don’t have to answer that question out loud. We at Wiesner of Huntsville aren’t sure we want to know. We want our customers to drive safely, but we also understand there are times when you can’t help but take your eyes off the road. That’s why we’re so excited about the innovative technologies Cadillac is offering to decrease distracted driving, including the new Powermat wireless charger.
The Powermat charger is a rubberized pad that uses an electromagnetic field to charge your smartphone. All you have to do is rest your phone on the pad for it to begin charging. No untangling of cords necessary. Plus, you can still take advantage of Cadillac’s in-vehicle Bluetooth and other connected technologies.
“A recent survey from IHS revealed that 70 percent of consumers charge their mobile phone at least once per day, with 30 percent charging more than once,” said Ryan Sanderson, associate director of Power Supply & Storage Components for IHS Technology.
“This is driving demand for charging access in multiple locations throughout the day, something wireless charging can address in a more convenient way than the consumer having to carry one or more wired chargers around with them on a daily basis.”
The wireless charging pad will first become available in the 2015 ATS coupe and sedan, set to arrive this season. Later, the technology will be offered in the CTS sport sedan and the all-new Escalade.
It’s time to say hello to the new 2015 ATS with wireless charging and goodbye to those corded car chargers.
