What goes into the best family cars? Some will tell you that size is the key. Others will mention comfort, and others still might bring up entertainment to keep the kids distracted.
At Wiesner of Huntsville, we think the key to a great family vehicle is reliability and safety. What good is a big, comfortable, entertaining vehicle you’re not sure if it’ll get you and your family from point A to B safely every time you get into it?
That’s why we recommend the Chevrolet Tahoe, Impala, and Suburban to everyone who asks us for a family car. The former two were named among KBB.com’s 15 Best Family Cars of 2015 and the latter two among U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best Cars for Families, thanks to their great family features and reliability and safety.
For example, the Impala comes with available Front Automatic Braking, which can apply the brakes when the forward-sensing radar system sees a crash coming before the driver does; and the Tahoe and Suburban both offer the GM Safety Alert Seat, which alerts drivers about potential crashes via directional vibrations in the seat.
“Chevrolet puts families first, with cars, trucks and SUVs that provide the latest safety technologies and crash protection at a value,” said Alan Batey, senior vice president, Global Chevrolet and president, GM North America. “It’s why Chevrolet was the most-awarded car company in 2014 and is driving toward another year of strong recognition.”
Before Chevrolet launched the award-winning 2014 Impala, the automaker’s flagship sedan held just 6.9 percent of the retail market share. Since the redesigned 2014 model arrived at dealerships like Wiesner of Huntsville, its market share has grown tremendously.
By the end of this year’s first quarter, the all-new Impala reported a market share of 14.7 percent, a leap of almost eight percent and a 113 percent growth over the sales reported during the same period last year.
Folks, we have a winner.
What has made the 2014 Chevy Impala so much more enticing for new car buyers? The sedan offers valuable performance wrapped in sophisticated design.
“The Impala is an example of everything that customers can continue to expect from Chevrolet products,” said Steve Majoros, marketing director for Chevy’s cars and crossovers. “We’re building the best vehicles in our history. If you’ve never visited a Chevrolet dealership before, now is the time.”
Of course, we would have to agree, especially with the 2015 bi-fuel Impala on its way. So we’ll see you soon then?
This has been a big couple of weeks for the 2014 Chevrolet Impala! Reviewers, consumers, experts, and readers alike are all very impressed by the newly redesigned Chevy Impala, and we’re ecstatic about it here at Wiesner of Huntsville too. Not only did the Impala receive a top rating from Consumer Reports, but it also received a top safety rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Now is the time to get your hands on one of these babies.
The 2014 Chevrolet Impala made news headlines due to its recent score of 95 out of 100 by Consumer Reports. They called in “excellent,” a much better improvement from last year’s model. This score makes it one of the highest-rated vehicles Consumer Reports has ever reviewed. Move over Cadillac, the Impala is here.
In addition to a great rating from Consumer Reports, the 2014 Impala also received a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration “New Car Assessment Program.” The new Impala includes such features adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, side blind zone alert, and 10 standard airbags. This car reeks of safety, class, and innovation.
